We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ready to steer their future by joining our Trainee Service & Maintenance Programme.

Location: Vacancies at Carlisle, Dumfries or Penrith

Hours: 40 Hours per week

Salary: £10.85 - £15.50 per hour

What will you be doing?

As a Trainee Service & Maintenance Technician at our Carlisle, Dumfries or Penrith dealership, you'll complete a structured two-year training programme designed to develop your skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced, fully qualified Technicians.

During your training, you will:

• Learn how to diagnose vehicle faults, developing the skills and confidence to carry out diagnostics independently.
• Assist with and progressively carry out routine servicing and maintenance inspections to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Work towards becoming fully competent in carrying out full vehicle inspections and achieving the nationally recognised IRTEC qualification.
• Attend manufacturer training courses delivered by DAF Trucks, alongside practical, hands-on workshop experience.
• Develop an understanding of safe working practices and workshop procedures.
• Build the technical skills required to service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
